Changes in a place after 28 years.

I lived in Missouri for a good deal of my life. I love Missouri, but unfortunately, I married a born and raised Utahan. After 28 years, nothing is the same. It looks crowded. The crowd has caused the disappearance of the little groups of forest and obstructed the view of the Ozarks. You can't see the water through the trees.

My husband and I took a trip out to Branson, and my sister in Missouri. The only thing that stayed the same is the humidity. I told my husband about the Lake of the Ozarks and how much I was excited to see the blue water and tranquility atmosphere. Well, we drove and drove looking for a place to pull over so I at least put my hand in the water. Yep we found it at the damn. There was a parking lot that we pulled into and I put my hand in the water!

We left there and toured Branton, Missouri. I was disappointed I'm sad to say. My parents lived in Henderson, Nv and I felt that same way in Branton. A whole lot of nothing much. Has it turned me against traveling there again. No, I'm attached to the wild and winding Ozarks, it's a part of me. I'll return but for the Lake and my sister, not the tourist town of Branton.
